Tichu Journals

Interiors

Three different interiors are available. The One Per Page style provides room to keep track of the score and to take notes about interesting play and upsets. The Two Per Page style has room to track the score for two different games. The Tichu suits and colors allow you to assign a color and suit to each player, making it easy to track which player does what. The Lined style has light-colored blank lines, with room to write anything you'd like.

With 100 pages in the journal, around 100 (One Per Page) or 200 (Two Per Page) game plays can be easily recorded. You'll choose one when you order.

Example Scoring

These journals make it easy and fun to record the score during play.

At the top write any general information you want to record, and then write the names of the players in the appropriate team boxes. Then put a 0 in the first scoring area for each team (some rare games will run longer than 12 hands — if so, simply copy the score from the bottom of the columns to the top of the next columns and continue scoring the game).

When the hand is over, write the score for each team on the next line, and then the total so far on the line below that.

If someone calls Tichu, circle the T next to the line for that hand in the appropriate player column. If someone calls Grand Tichu, do the same with the G.

If someone who calls Tichu or Grand Tichu fails to go out first, just put an X through the circle to indicate the failed attempt.

When a team goes out 1-2, circle their score for that hand to indicate their success.

When the game is over, you can easily go back and review how things went. With the One Per Page version of the interior you can record more details, including how strangely a given hand played out.
